A week ago, I shared about the season of life when I felt the most insecure and how that situation has helped me improve in how I battle against insecurity. If you missed that session, you can check it out here.
Unfortunately, insecurity is not something we deal with once and never have to experience again. It’s a continual battle.
Two more weapons to battle against insecurity:
- Know your priorities. Not everyone will like you. If you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one (including yourself.) Focus on the people who matter most.
- Focus on others. When we take the focus off ourselves, and look to serve others by helping them and adding value to their lives, our insecurity decreases.
Write down the five people who mean the most to you in your life. Ask yourself: are you living in such a way that honors them?
Now, write down one person who could use some encouragement. Make a point to spend time with them this week. Listen to them, and offer encouragement.
